Privacy policy
CrewPin is a time clock for field crews. Your employer (the company that gave you your login) uses it to record when you start and finish work, where you checked in, and business mileage. This policy explains what the app collects and why.
What we collect
- Account details your employer enters: name, email, phone number, employee code, role and hourly rate. Kiosk PINs and passwords are stored only as one-way hashes.
- Check-in and check-out records: times, breaks, notes, the job site, and the GPS position and accuracy at the moment you punch.
- Location while you are on shift: between check-in and check-out the mobile app records your position periodically, including in the background when the app is not in use, subject to your permissions and operating system limits. Termination, force-quit and battery restrictions can prevent delivery. The app stops collecting shift locations after check-out.
- Mileage: when you start a drive, the app measures GPS distance until you stop it, and stores the start and end points, distance, and any odometer readings or trip purpose you enter.
- Technical data: sign-in sessions, the type of device or browser used, and an audit log of changes made by managers and admins.
How it is used
Only to run your employer's time clock: verifying attendance at job sites, calculating hours, overtime and pay, keeping mileage records for tax purposes, and showing managers who is on site. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone other than your employer and the service providers that host the app.
Who can see it
You can see your own hours, shifts and pay rate. Managers and admins at your employer can see crew records and locations; only admins can see payroll. The app is hosted by WebsProjects with encrypted connections.
How long it is kept
Retention and deletion depend on the records involved. Request the retention details for your records; removing or deactivating an account does not confirm that its associated records or backup copies have been erased.
Deleting your data
To request deletion or ask about a previous request, contact your employer. A received request is not confirmation of completed deletion. Session revocation and account deactivation do not erase attendance, location, mileage or other associated records. Request a response identifying what has been deleted and what remains, including any retained copies.
Your choices
You can refuse or revoke location permission in your phone's settings at any time. The app will still let you check in, but your employer may require a location to accept it.
Children
The app is for employees and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date above.
